We are looking for an Assistant Construction Superintendent to join our client in an executive level role as part of the U.S. Senior Leadership Team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Responsible for the safety of all assigned employees and subcontractors, including the strict adherence to and enforcement of the Safety and Health Management Program.

  • Daily supervision of on-site field labor force.
  • Ensure Contractor and/or Subcontract operations are in compliance with Prime Contract
  • Create and maintain site logistics plan, in coordination with Project Manager.
  • Conduct quality inspections and determine Quality Control deficiencies;
  • Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with requirements for DBE program.
  • Manage budge, including labor time and material.
  • Own the schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term plan, ensuring all assigned work is completed on or ahead of schedule.
  • Prepare and submit Superintendent’s Daily Reports.
  • Attend and participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meetings.

  

WHAT WE SEEK IN A CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT

  • Healthcare and Higher Education experience–this is a must.
  • Basic knowledge of construction industry including equipment, labor, means and methods.
  • Knowledge and understanding Labor Regulations.
  • Capable of understanding construction documents including drawings, standards, and specifications.
  • Strong written, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Good math/accounting skills.
  • Good leadership skills.
  • Computer proficient with ability to adapt to new innovations and processes.
  • Ability to functions effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
  • Bachelor of Science in Construction or Engineering preferred, but experience may be considered in lieu of same.
