POSITION OVERVIEW: Our client located in the Batavia, IL area (West of Chicago), is looking for a full life cycle C# Developer, participating from specification definitions, through documentation and solution implementation. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately estimate the scope, resources, and time of projects and the ability to meet deadline
  • Develop scalable solutions using C#.NET through the full software lifecycle: scope, design, code, test and implement
  • Take part in requirements analysis and definition meetings
  • Performing peer code reviews to execute coding standards, code consistency, utilization of setup cases and adherence to application design
  • Document code to support program development and future iterations
  • Review, debug, test, and install new & existing application programs
  • Create and test software prototypes
  • Develop test procedures and test platforms for programs and/or programming functions
  • Work closely with all departments to identify software and reporting needs
  • Assist in creating the training modules for user groups
  • Oversee the execution of scheduled reports and tasks, ensuring the proper data flow

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of total C# and .NET development experience
  • Advanced experience working with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle)
  • Front-end development experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are required
  • Ability to don and doff required PPE prior to entering clinical laboratory

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer related field is preferred
  • Clinical/laboratory systems experience is highly preferred
  • HL7 experience is a plus (and an opportunity to learn if you do not have it)
