Job Description

My medical device client is expanding and looking to hire a New Product Planning Manager to support their upstream marketing needs and create new cardiology solutions for physicians and other clinicians.  This person will take on the following tasks: 

  • Lead and execute comprehensive market research and generate compelling market insights based on research, data, and feedback
  • Develop strategies based on insights, business objectives, and other trends
  • Liaise with new product development team and others including regulatory, clinical, marketing, and external collaborators to develop and commercialize solutions
  • Create key marketing requirement documents to enable successful development
  • Develop business cases for new products and solutions for consideration in the portfolio planning process
  • Obtain global customer requirements via market research activities, market analysis, and on-going communication with global marketing and sales
  • Perform competitive analysis and maintain insights into current and potential competition


​The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

  • BS degree in business, engineering, clinical or related with an MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in medical device new product planning, product management, or strategy, including experience in the cardiovascular field
  • Financial modeling experience preferred
  • Independent thinking, high level of initiative, and ability to interact well with patients, physicians, customers, and KOLs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NPP and strategic planning processes
  • Demonstrated leadership in product development (taking solutions from conception to release), product management, and project management
  • Ability to interpret and convey clinical data required.
  • Approximately 30% travel required.
