Electrical Technician / PLC Specialist

$90,000-$100,000

Paid Relocation Available

 

Job responsibilities

Provide technical troubleshooting skills to maintenance and operations to restore product flow, as well as provide technical leadership and training to craft employees. 

Provides technical solutions to recurring design, process and application problems and will ensure issues on shop floor are addressed so emergencies are avoided. 

Responds to trouble calls on a 24/7 basis

Design manufacturing processes and procedures 

Be Involved with continuous improvement initiatives of manufacturing methods. 

Act as a resource for technical mentorship to manufacturing personnel 

Assist in justification of new equipment 

Collaborate with other manufacturing departments to address and resolve technical issues 

 

 This position will require frequent, unscheduled shift and weekend on-call maintenance coverage as it supports a 24/7 operation. 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with electrical systems and controls utilized in industrial applications. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field 
  • 5 years’ of experience and proven ability of manufacturing processes and principles. 
  • 5 years’ experience in product and process failure analysis and an understanding of world class manufacturing techniques such as lean manufacturing, FMEA, RCM SPC, TQM, etc. 
  • Experience in installing, programming and troubleshooting AC drives, DC drives and AB Logix5000 series Programmable Logic Controllers. 
  • Demonstrated written and oral communications skills. 
  • Ability to work with multi-functional teams. 
  • Excellent problem solving and creative thinking skills. 
  • Well-rounded maintenance background. 
  • Familiarity with instrumentation including HART communications. 

 

Must Have

  • Experience and proven ability of manufacturing processes and principles
