Food Quality Assurance Manager

Job Summary: The Food Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring that food products meet required standards. Develop and review quality and food safety policies and manage audits by third-party inspectors. Train quality assurance employees and oversee manufacturing and production processes.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical-related field is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of related managerial experience in a food manufacturing environment; bakery or snack foods experience highly preferred.
  • Experience managing a QA department in a facility of 300 or more employees.
  • High familiarity with the 2011 Food Safety Modernization Act (FMSA)
  • Knowledge and experience working in an SQF level 3 facility.
  • SQF Practitioner highly preferred.
  • HACCP certification highly preferred.
  • Experience with SAP a plus.
  • Experience with Pathogen Environmental Monitoring (PEM) programs.
  • HACCP, FDA, & GMP knowledge.
