MATERIALS / LOGISTICS SUPERVISOR – OFF SHIFT
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for monitoring and reporting of receipts, production, scrap and other inventory-related data on the computer to accurately maintain inventory levels of production material.
- Ensures proper warehousing practices and material flow to support production requirements while maintaining quality.
- These practices include proper FIFO inventory rotation.
- Helps coordinates flow of materials or products.
- Responsible for monitoring the scheduling of incoming production material.
- Assist with cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory accountability
- Responsible for expediting incoming material as required.
- Enforces safety compliance by ensuring the proper training is given in OSHA mandated regulations.
- Follows safety regulations and enforces compliance with company safety rules and regulations.
- Understands and complies with all company policies and procedures, and enforces workers to follow all company policies and procedures.
- Monitors suppliers and commercial carriers to ensure that delivery schedules are consistently met and any error rectified on a timely basis.
- Arranges for and follows up on special pick-ups and deliveries.
- Arranges for disposal of surplus materials.
- Develops and implements visual inventory management systems on the production floor.
- Assists as required in resolving this disposition of substandard or rejected materials.
- Ensures supplies are delivered on time to provide uninterrupted production and shipment of finished goods.
- Utilizes and practices methods of continuous improvement.
- Complies with all Company Safety policies, procedures and rules.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Must have recent experience in an Automotive Manufacturing plant.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Must be able to work an off shift.
