Job Description

A licensed physical therapist assistant (LPTA) works with people who have had a change in ability to perform the activities of daily living due to an accident or illness under the supervision of Physical Therapists. LPTA will document patient care services by charting in patient and department records in compliance with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. 

Your duties will include

-Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms.

-Diagnosing movement dysfunction and developing a treatment plan.

-Teaching patients how to properly use therapeutic exercise techniques.

-Providing stimulation or massage to promote healing.

 

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Assistant Therapy Assistant Program.
  • 1 year of home health experience as a physical therapist Assistant
  • Candidates must possess strong caring interpersonal skills
  • Candidate must have great personality and people skills
