Tier I and tier II automotive supplier is seeking a Process Engineer to work in their fast-paced, mass production manufacturing organization.  Daily you will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Troubleshooting equipment and processes in an assigned manufacturing area 
  • Developing and improving line layouts and making line modifications
  • Assisting with new model activities and capital equipment projects 
  • Monitoring production numbers and KPIs
  • Partnering with quality engineers to determine RCA and resolve quality issues 
  • Completing mechanical troubleshooting, including sensors, tooling, lasers, etc. 
  • Designing fixtures and gauges in 2D and 3D software
  • Conducting project proposals and completing cost justifications 
  • Completing formal documentation, including process controls and PFMEAs
  • Assisting with PM schedules  
  • If not immediately, in the future overseeing capital equipment projects, including monitoring timelines and budgets
  • Other duties directed by management

REQUIREMENTS for the Process Engineer:
1. Minimum of an Associate’s Degree with at least five years of similar experience or a Bachelor’s Degree with at least two years of similar experience 
2. Experience conducting process engineering functions in mass production environments  

3. Experience completing CI functions, including scrap reductions, improving line efficiencies, etc. 
4. Problem solving experience 
5. Basic project management, including overseeing project timelines 
6. Experience with automated/semi-automated equipment 
7. Microsoft Office, specifically Excel

Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. Automotive supplier experience
2. Formal problem solving skills 
3. Robotics and/or automation experience

4. Tooling troubleshooting
