TITLE: Radiology Tech (Imaging-Surgery)
LOCATION: Columbus, Ohio

The system is a not-for-profit and has over 300 physicians and multiple outpatient care centers throughout the area.
The system is the largest provider in a six county region and a primary referral center.
It offers a higher level of service than what is typically found in a community of its size including open-heart surgery, trauma care, a Level II neonatal intermediate care unit, neurosurgery and

Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures on all types of patients in an efficient and caring manner in order to provide data for the diagnosis of a wide variety of medical conditions.
Evaluates exams for diagnostic quality while using professional judgment in the performance of services.
-Operates all imaging equipment(radiographic, fluoroscopic, mobile and digital acquisition) to complete a variety of diagnostic radiology procedures.
-Produces acceptable images by determining proper technical factors based on individual patients and/or procedures.
-Follows all radiation protection and radiation safety policies.
-Assists physicians in radiographic imaging procedures as required.
-Prepares, assists, and administers (as appropriate) contrast media under the direction of a physician.
-Effectively uses computer systems (such as HIS, RIS, PACS) to process, access and distribute appropriate department and patient procedure information.
-Assists in transportation of patients to and from the department.
-Participates in providing education and information to patients and their families.
-Participates in clinical training of radiology students by providing instruction, supervision and evaluation as required.
-Assumes “call status” as necessary during off hours for emergency procedures.
-Participates in quality assurance/quality control activities as required.
-Performs other functions as assigned.
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists(ARRT) in the appropriate specialty (radiography) and licensed by the State of Ohio in Radiology.
Current or very recent Interventional/Surgical experience required, along with knowledge of Siemens, OEC equipment & Medtronic O-arm.
Experience working a Hybrid Room and the O-arm are the most crucial.
Competence in all diagnostic radiographic procedures.
Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, facilitation, conflict resolution skills.
Demonstrated excellence with listening, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and under pressure in a complex and changing working environment.
Demonstrated computer skills and knowledge of computer software related to electronic imaging and clinical information management.
Ability to focus on multiple tasks simultaneously.
The position is located east of Columbus.
Position is a day shift, 40hrs week full time typically 9am-5:30pm. Person will rotate every other weekend and have to take call 1 day/week and every 5th weekend.
This person will be working within the Surgery Department in the Hybrid Room and O-arm.
The Rad Tech will be expected to perform general radiology when surgical census is low.
The range is between $21.16hr($44012)-$28.45hr($59176) depending on experience and a full benefits package is offered as well.
