Job Description

One of the largest independently owned broadline food distributors serving KY, OH and IN delivering a full range of food products, smallwares and tabletop items to independent restaurants, hotels, deli’s, diners, caterers, concessions and other contract food service businesses.




Work your assigned Louisville territory developing your customer base from scratch.  

This is a position for a “hunter” New Business Development, providing clients with a high level of service on orders, product advice, displays, advertising, and promotional activities. 

Prepare, present displays and demonstrates product samples or by catalog. 

Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained. 

Estimate delivery schedules. 

Collect accounts receivable, as necessary, working with the company credit department and the customer.

Prepare reports for transactions, new customer data via Retalix – Power Sell System, expense accounts and mileage logs.

Occasional weekend work is required.  Attend trade shows as requested.

Reports to Director of Sales.




1+ years outside foodservice sales experience to include new business development. 

Culinary or hospitality operations experience a plus.

Ability to communicate effectively, work independently, take initiative, results oriented, well organized, customer focused and manage a small business.

Experienced in prospecting, presentations negotiations and closing skills.

Valid driver’s license required and Motor vehicle record in good standing.
