Job Description

Our client is seeking a Service Engineer to join our client’s team in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, high energy environment.  We’re looking for a dedicated, motivated employee with 5 or more years experience in the repair of industrial machinery and a superior working knowledge of mechanical, PLC and PC control repair. A 2 yr. degree in Electronic Engineering Technology or other related technical field, or four years military experience in the mechanical/electrical field is required. Frequent weekday overnight travel will be required, with most weekends at home. You must possess excellent communication and PC skills, along with a clean driving record and valid driver’s license, and be able to pass a drug test. Essential Job Functions:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Responsibilities include up to and not limited to:

  • Creating and updating documentation of technical information.
  • Developing, preparing, generating, and analyzing special reports pertaining to Service
  • Demonstrating a willingness to help others and be a team member; often working together with Customer Service Engineers.
  • Providing assistance and training to Customer Service Engineers on the installation and maintenance of newer product lines.
  • Establish and build exemplary communication and customer service relationships with customers.
  • Manage difficult customer situations in a positive manner, respond promptly to customer needs and solicit customer feedback to improve service.


Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 yr. degree or 4 yrs. military experience in mechanical/electrical field
  • 5 or more yrs. industrial machinery troubleshooting experience and field service experience
  • Travel in the range or 50% after training
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, conversational Spanish would be an asset.

  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Duties and responsibilities include the following:
  • Installation, start-up, commissioning and test of machinery purchased by our customers
  • Technical assistance during and after warranty period on site or by phone / computer
  • Training customer’s employees and other services on the equipment delivered to the customer.
  • Customer demonstrations and sample / prototype part manufacturing.
  • Other tasks as required.
