Lead. Advocate. Give.
Acloché strives to build relationships within our communities that drive change and enliven our environments. Our staff members are active volunteers in numerous organizations, always contributing to the greater good. Acloché is also proud to support fellow women-owned and minority-owned businesses.
Acloché holds certifications as a women-owned business through The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and The National Women Business Owners Corporation (NWBOC). We are also certified as a WBE through both the State of Ohio and City of Columbus, and hold a Women-Owned Small Business certification through the US Small Business Administration.
Within our communities, we work closely with local schools, workforce development programs, non-profits, and other organizations to support and prepare current and future job seekers as they begin and follow their career path.
Acloché has numerous partnerships with secondary and post-secondary institutions throughout Central Ohio including Columbus City Schools and Columbus State Community College. We strongly recognize the value of working with students to develop career interests and job search skills early and help prepare the future workforce. Our teams regularly work with students and administrators to present resume writing, interviewing skills, and job readiness workshops, conduct mock interviews and speed interviews with students, participate in hiring expos, and provide career preparation tools and resources.
We also nurture a partnership with The College Board to help validate their AP Career Kickstarter program and ensure that program objectives align with real-world business needs and employer expectations to better connect high schoolers to top employers and opportunities. Acloché has endorsed the AP Career Kickstarter credentials in Personal Finance and Cybersecurity based on the value we see in these courses to provide the skills, requirements, and practical applications that are currently in demand by the employers we work with every day.
Team members also regularly conduct or participate in workshops and training for job seekers and adult learners with such partners as New Directions Career Center and the Veterans Professional Advancement Course (VPAC) sponsored by Cardinal Health.
Acloché partners with Northview Trade School in a pilot program to promote skilled trades education with self-paced, low-cost courses that result in a steady flow of certified, job-ready candidates. Upon course completion, graduates will have industry-recognized certifications in industries such as HVAC, Appliance Repair, and Facility Maintenance and will be eligible for immediate employment. This partnership aims to reduce the skills gap that currently exists within the skilled trades by upskilling the workforce to provide skilled trades employers with the employees they desperately need to adequately serve and maintain crucial infrastructure.
Since 2018, Acloché has been a member of Ohio Business Competes, a non-partisan coalition of businesses committed to achieving nondiscrimination policies at the state level in order to attract the best talent, to increase Business-to-Business & Business-to-Consumer relationships, and to grow Ohio’s economy. Acloché remains committed to the professional growth of any individual who walks through our doors, regardless of their identity, orientation, or background, and will continue to promote and support diversity and inclusion in our Central Ohio community.
