For anyone that has been through the interview experience, they have been asked by their interviewer, “Do you have any questions for me?” Be prepared for this part of your next interview by having a list of questions you wish to ask. This is also an opportunity for you to assess the company and how well you would fit into their dynamic.

Below are few sample questions to help get your list started.

  • What is a typical work day like for this position and within your company in general?
  • What management style does your company typically follow?
  • I read the job description, but would you mind describing the responsibilities of this position specifically?
  • Are there opportunities for growth and advancement from this position?
  • If I am selected for the position, how soon would I be expected to start the position?
  • Is there any traveling expected of this position? If so, how much?

Below are questions you should NOT ask.

  • What does your company do?
  • If I am selected for the position, when does my vacation time start?
  • Can I change my schedule if I am selected for the position?
  • Am I selected for the position?

Use these in your next interview opportunity to be prepared for the question that typically concludes all interviews: “Now, do you have any questions for me?”
