Our 50 for 50 campaign continued on this past weekend, as Acloché participated in the 2018 Komen Race for the Cure.
For the past 9 years, Acloché has put together a team and headed to downtown Columbus for an afternoon of running, supporting, and fundraising for breast cancer research, outreach, and advocacy. The Race for the Cure has easily become one of our favorite annual traditions as a company, and we are happy to say that the 2018 outing did not disappoint!
This year, Acloché sponsored the Columbus RFTC with a team of around 20 participants and a booth at the Expo, where we gave out over 9,000 free notepads commemorating the event. Acloché also sponsored the Susan G. Komen Ribbons & Rosé event earlier in May, which was an amazing night where Survivors in the area came together to celebrate life and share stories of perseverance.
Starting in January, Acloché rolls out a series of fundraisers around the office and community, all raising money toward our ultimate Race for the Cure goal of $5,000.00. This year, we surpassed our goal with $5196.65 in total fundraising, putting us firmly in the top 10 for Corporate Teams in Columbus! We could not be more proud of our team for their time, effort, and donations toward making the 2018 Race for the Cure one of our best ever.
In total, the 2018 Komen Race for the Cure race raised approximately $1.5 million dollars and had 1,300 survivors running/walking the race with the approximately 25,000 participants. Acloché is happy to be just one amongst thousands in the community that come together to support such an amazing cause.
