Over the past few months, Acloché team members across Central Ohio participated in our annual 4th quarter charitable giving campaign; this year, our theme was “Acloché: Mission for Nutrition,” consisting of two parts: Gather and Serve.

Throughout October, each Acloché office held a food drive to Gather donations, and our employees and community members contributed hundreds of canned goods and other non-perishable food items.  In order to benefit all of the communities we serve, each Acloché location chose their own local food drive recipients.  Local organizations that received food drive contributions from Acloché this year include:

  • LifeCare Alliance
  • Saint James Lutheran Church in Hilliard
  • The Hope Center in Marysville
  • The Pacer Pantry in Delaware
  • GRIN (Gahanna Residents in Need)
  • East Side Grace Brethren Church
  • Second Presbyterian Church in Newark
  • Lancaster Vineyard Church Food Pantry

After the food drive donations were delivered in November to all of our grateful recipients, the second half of “Acloché: Mission for Nutrition” began, with team members volunteering to Serve at local food pantries. Our local partner organizations for our volunteer time included: Lutheran Social Services Food Pantries, the Faith Mission Community Kitchen, the Mid-Ohio Foodbank, The Hope Center in Marysville, the Marysville Food Pantry, the MASH Pantry and Resource Center in Delaware, and the Food Pantry Network of Licking County.

Our participating team members enjoy the opportunity each year to get out into their communities and make an impact close to home, interact with the individuals they’re helping, and to really see first-hand the results of giving back. One team member shared the following thoughts on her involvement this year: “Working at Faith Mission was an awesome experience.  We served lunch for the men’s shelter that day and it was very humbling to work with the staff that provides 3 meals a day, 7 days a week for these individuals. I will definitely do it again!”

We were honored to be able to help all of these great organizations this year, and we sincerely thank them each for their ongoing efforts and involvement in helping our communities!
