Job interviews can be full of anxiety and pressure, but scoring a job interview in the first place can be an even more daunting task. Use our tips below to help you score your next job interview.

  • Polish your resume and keep it updated. In order for potential employers to see your potential prior to interviewing you, you must put your best foot forward in terms of your resume. Highlight previous work experience and accomplishments that are directly related to the job you are applying for.
  • Consider attending networking events for the type of employment you are seeking. If there are events that offer opportunities to network, take advantage of them. Get to know people within your field and build connections. A connection could lead to an interview.
  • Stay active on LinkedIn. Potential employers are using LinkedIn more and more for recruitment. Take advantage of this by remaining present amongst conversations related to your field. Also consider using your LinkedIn presence as another form of networking.
  • Remain optimistic and determined. Sometimes individuals have the tendency to give up too early, in turn missing out on a great opportunity. A key to scoring potential job interviews is to stay focused on the task at hand and not to give up.
