Thursday, October 16, is National Boss’ Day – a day set to recognize and thank the leadership of your company or specific department. Thinking of ideas to display your appreciation for their influence, guidance and management can be a stressful task. Use the tips below to help find the perfect way to show appreciation for your boss.
- Pass around a greeting card for the entire office or department to sign. Small gestures typically go a long way. A greeting card with personalized messages from each staff member will help your boss feel appreciated.
- Collect a monetary donation amongst coworkers to purchase a small gift. The gift would acknowledge all of your boss’ hard work and dedication to make sure that your company or department is successful. The gift could be plethora of items, such as a gift card, flowers or a cake.
- Approach your Human Resources department to find out whether or not there are funds to host a luncheon. Giving your boss some time off during his or her lunch hour to mingle with the employees that appreciate them would be a great way to show your gratitude.
These are just a few ideas to help show appreciation for your boss on National Boss’ Day. If none of the above ideas are feasible, just shoot your boss an e-mail or swing by their office to wish them a Happy National Boss’ Day and to say thank you!
